Benefits of a Texas-Specific Organization

The members of the TXOA Board want the exact same thing you do: best in class coverage, robust ancillary offerings, great service, and the lowest total cost of ownership. The Board considered a multitude of options when evaluating the best long term benefits solution.

Ultimately, it was determined that a Texas-specific organization was in the best interest of Texas Operators. As a state specific association, we do not have to worry about a changing regulatory climate in other states. While a larger multi-state association may appeal to some, we are confident that Texas' business climate will remain favorable to employers for years to come. Here are our top three considerations:

  • Pooling our risk as a state provides a long term solution that should last our lifetime with Chick-fil-A.

  • The reason Chick-fil-A wanted out of the business of providing benefits for employees, is because the legislative landscape was becoming increasingly unfavorable to a multi-state arrangement.

  • Multi-state options are not viable long-term solutions due to legislative complexities and the potential for subsidizing other states with higher health care costs.
